Make Kindness Your Gift To Others

I’m not sure I even know where to start. I’m far from perfect and I’m not always nice or polite (though I try), but it hurts my heart to see and hear people intentionally being mean to other people. Usually for no better reason than that they don’t share the same opinions. Sometimes, it’s not even intentional. I’ve done it myself. We write something on Facebook or we post a fabulously witty photo we saw on a friend’s wall, and we don’t stop to think that we’re actually talking about human beings. If you’re a Christian, then you should know that all humans are God’s children, and none of us are above others. As far as I know, all other religions teach love and kindness as well. Celebrating Womanhood. Because Women Are Amazing.

Hosted by Living, Learning, and Loving Life, Cabin Goddess, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dave, Tea With Dee, and alchemyofscrawl.

Show Them Love First

A few weeks ago, my friend Amy shared on Facebook that her son Jonathan was planning to spend a year doing mission work in Cameroon, West Africa. With her permission, I’m sharing her post, with the hope that it touches you as much as it touched me.

When Jonathan started college two years ago he told his father and me: “I promise to spend two years filling up my mind if you then give me a year to empty my heart.” Continue reading
