I like Winnie the Pooh, but my favorite children’s book is Charlotte’s Web. I know my mom  read to me all the time when I was little, but the only book I actually remember her reading to me is Charlotte’s Web. I don’t know how old I was, maybe seven or eight. My mom was washing dishes and I was sitting at the kitchen table reading. When I got to the part where Charlotte dies (hope that’s not a spoiler for anyone), I started crying and couldn’t see to read. I asked my mom if she would read the rest of the book to me. She put down the dishcloth, sat me in her lap, and finished the book.

I still have my old copy of Charlotte's Web.

  3. Sweet memories. I love CW too! Boxcar Children was my favorite growing up. I’ve been determined to get even ONE of my kids to be addicted and so far it’s a no go. 🙁

  4. I also love “Charlotte’s Web.” I still have my old copy, too! The dust jacket is long gone, but the hardcover book is still intact. Thanks for the memories!
