A-Z Challenge: Apples and Aardvarks. Or Not.

For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to participate in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. If you want to participate or just check out the 1,800+(!) blogs, check it out here.

So it’s only the first day, and I’m already stumped. I could talk about my name (Amanda, for those who don’t know). I’m named for Amanda Blake from the Gunsmoke TV series. Cool, huh? No? Wow. Tough crowd.

Or the obvious: April. Lovely month. It’s one of my favorites. The weather is pretty much perfect if you don’t mind deadly tornadoes, and my family holds a weekend-long reunion each April. Because I actually like my family, this is a big plus in the “April” column.

And there’s always autism and Asperger’s. I could go for weeks on that, but I’m trying to keep this under 500 words. So I’ll just tell you that April is Autism Awareness Month. If you’d like more information, you can read this (considerably longer than 500 words) post I wrote in 2011.

Or, hey! Aardvarks and apples! Those were the suggestions I got when I asked my Facebook fans. Really. The only thing I know about aardvarks is that they eat ants, not apples.

Come back tomorrow for B. I promise to do better.
