#BlogFlash2012 Day 8: Relaxing

It seems like I can’t even remember what it feels like to relax. I wasn’t just busy this weekend, I’m busy all the time. I hardly sleep, I rarely watch TV, I try to cut back on commitments, and there still isn’t enough time for everything. *sigh*

But every now and then, I give myself permission to do nothing for a little while. I make a cup of peppermint tea, get a book that I don’t have to review, and hole up in the bedroom for 2-3 hours to just relax and read. I feel more relaxed just reading that. :-)

BlogFlash2012 is hosted by Terri Giuliano Long.

Are you playing along? Feel free to leave a link to your post in a comment.

I have the feeling you have just described so many lives with your post. I look forward to the day I can drink my tea warm (without having to chase the little ones while my tea rapidly cools)and sit down with a great red!

    Wonderful post!

Well, the trick is too make it REALLY hot, so even after you’ve chased kids, it’s still warm. LOL

I mean a great READ! lol.

Hey, red works, too. Red book, red blanket… LOL

Aw, those books, the best of relaxation! :)
(As long as it’s not finance or something.)

Ah, no. LOL I like some non-fiction, but finance and economics are not what I find relaxing. ;-)

You’ve described a large chunk of my life right there – or how it was until recently anyway.
You need to take time out for yourself on a regular basis, if for no ther reason than it’ll improve your health and wellbeing!
Look after yourself and enjoy reading for the pure pleasure of it!

It’s strange how the days just zip by, isn’t it? It’s so hard to remember to take a little time to just sit and have a little peace! I hope you get some more quiet time in the future.

I hope you get more relaxation; you sound extremely busy to the point of exhaustion. I’m pleased you finally found time for yourself, doing what you love. x
