I finally made it to WordPress. It took a few weeks and several false starts, but I finally got it. I had help, and I’ll write more about that later. I may or may not be blogging every day this year, because I’ve made some major life changes over the past month and I just may not have time. I will still be posting book reviews, and will be posting several times a week. There will also still be kid stories, so don’t worry that those will go away. In fact, I need to post the pictures of the gingerbread house the boys decorated.
I’ve moved recently, and I’m still trying to get unpacked and settled, so it may be a couple more weeks before I get back into doing giveaways. I have to unpack my books so I can see what books I have available before I can list any for giveaways. I have decided not to continue the weekly giveaways, but there are so many giveaway hops out there, that I will still be holding 2-3 giveaways a month, when I get back up and running. If you won a book previously from me, I will get it in the mail to you as soon as I can. The events of the past few weeks weren’t really planned and I’m playing catch-up.
I also have a lot of work to do on the blog now that I’ve finally gotten it moved. I need to replace the tags, and replace the links to my videos, as well as put all the stuff back on my sidebar. I also won a blog makeover, and I don’t know exactly when that will happen, but I won’t be doing much to the appearance of the blog because it’ll all just be redone with the makeover. I appreciate your patience while I put the blog back together.
It will be a couple more weeks before I’m accepting new books for review, for the same reasons as above. I need to get settled and caught up. I hope to soon get my new schedule organized so that I can get back to reading a book a day. I did enter my 365th book for 2011 in Goodreads last night, but some of those were short stories. I don’t know exactly how many because I didn’t use tags for the whole year. But a few of the books were 600+ pages, so I figure that makes up for the short stories. Wait while I go check something… My total pages read was 74,758, but I don’t know if all the ebooks were calculated correctly. Sometimes the number of pages for ebooks doesn’t show up on Goodreads. Still, that’s an average of 204 pages per book. Or 204 pages per day. Either way.
My goal for 2012 is 366 books. It’s a leap year. 🙂
