My review
When I posted on Facebook that I was reading Redeeming Love, several friends jumped in to say what a wonderful book it was. They were right. I finished this book a couple weeks ago and before I read it, I had planned to use it for the giveaway hop I did last week. Now that I’ve read it, I’m not quite so eager to get rid of it. You know that’s unusual for me. I have a limited amount of space in my house, and I have to have room for my kids. I’ve found it’s easier to find new homes for the books than the kids, so I don’t keep many books.

Angel is a young women who has hasn’t felt loved or wanted since her mother died when Angel was eight. After years of prostitution, she has given up on life and when Micheal Hosea shows up asking her to marry him, she thinks he’s lost his mind. Eventually, there comes a point at which she has no choice but to accept his offer, but a lifetime of insecurity does not disappear with a wedding ring.

Angel runs back to the life she knows but Michael faithfully comes for her. However, she runs again, believing that she can never be what a man like Michael needs in a wife. Until she opens herself to God’s love and forgiveness, she thinks she’ll never be good enough for a decent, loving man like Michael.

This is a beautiful story of faith and unconditional love. I love all the little things Michael says and does to show her she is loved and worthy.

  2. This book is so touching that i cried almost all the way through the book. it was a good cry, I don’t usually spend much time reading except for knowledge, hardly ever for pleasure. I could not hardly put this book down. I just had to find out whatever was next. I’d have 1/2 hour lunch time to read, some little time to read after work, but I got the book done in 2 weeks considering I’m a slow reader, I also had to put the book down @ times because I just could not see to read due to crying, then things started looking good for Sara but then she would blow it again. I caught myself getting upset with her but then I’d read more and things got better. kind of like riding a rollercoaster. i would highly recommend this book to those who never read much. it’ll get them going. I’m craving for another book of the same value. oh, yeah, i got the book from my daught who teaches LA, it was for my birthday. BEST PRESENT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN.
    Thanks!
